Subject: Progress Report

Introduction

The purpose of my project is to assess the general publicÕs awareness and understanding of the issue of antibiotic resistance. This will be done by done by analyzing data collected through a short voluntary survey being conducted by myself and Tyler Burslie. This assessment of will then be used to compliment the English 324 class website.

Work Completed

The proposal for this project was submitted on September 27. This outlined project goals and deadlines as well as methods for the project and included a preliminary draft of the survey to be conducted. An annotated bibliography was completed and submitted on October 29th. To date, the initial survey has been completed but the data has yet to be compiled. This was intended to be finished at an earlier date but should be completed within the next week.

Work Scheduled

The information from the surveys conducted by Tyler and myself needs to be compiled and assessed. This should be completed by November 19th if not sooner. Following that, the first draft of my major project will be completed and submitted by November 24th. This will be an assessment of the surveys collected put in a research article format and will be made available for review by the English 324 class. The final draft will be completed and submitted by December 3rd.

Conclusion

So far, I am satisfied with the work that has been completed and I feel that the project is going well. Although completing the survey and compiling the data has taken longer than originally intended my original schedule was intended for individual and not team work but did however leave time for adjusted dates if need be. I see no reason for any continuing work to be further delayed and I expect to meet all deadlines for scheduled work.
