Subject: Antibiotic Seeking and Prescribing Behaviors

Introduction

My project is going to focus on the most common antibiotic seeking and prescribing behaviors focusing on college students and clinicians. The goal of my project is to be able to identify bad habits amongst those seeking and those prescribing antibiotics, along with possible ways to remedy these bad behaviors. All of this will be accomplished by a literature review of recent studies done about within the past ten years.

Work Completed

The proposal for my project was completed and submitted on the 27th of September, my proposal consisted of my original plans and goals for my project along with a quick outline of the history behind my projects goal. The main focus of my research phase for this project is to obtain a diverse amount of studies all focusing on prescribing and seeking behaviors when it comes to antibiotics. I planned to have all of my articles by November 1st as this was the day our annotated bibliography was due, and this is also the day my annotated bibliography was completed and submitted. I set a goal of having my rough outline of my paper created by the 10th of November and the rough outline has been completed as of the 8th of November.

Work Scheduled

Currently I’m in the process of organizing the flow of information from my sources to fit into the rough outline I have created for my literature review. I plan to have the first draft completed and submitted for my paper by November 24th. By the end of this week, November 20th I plan to have finalized the structure of my sources and have already completed half of my rough draft. Upon having my rough draft reviewed and receiving feedback I intend to revise my literature review and submit the final draft by December 3rd. After this point I will then combine all of the appropriate materials I have created over the semester and create my portfolio which will be completed and submitted by December 13th.

Conclusion

So far everything is going according to plan, I have met all of the deadlines I’ve set for myself early or just on time. I believe I have found plenty of good sources from which to write my literature review and I am looking forward to the end results of all of my research. I truly hope that my literature review turns out to be a great contribution to the website and I also hope that it can teach everyone in the class at least one thing knew about antibiotics.
